Eircom Wholesale Business Design & Implementation

Responsible for the design and implementation of new wholesale business on behalf of eircom P.L.C. on the introduction of Telecoms deregulation in the Irish Market. Revenue in excess of €300m, employees of 150.

Project Involved:

Led the design and implementation of new wholesale business finance function.
Designed and implemented internal financial control systems and processes for the business.
Build cost models to support all price proposals for regulated services to telecoms regulator comreg.
Supported the due diligence process for prospective bids for eircom.
Responsible for capital budget of €100m, including the review and approval of all capital business cases by the board.

Result:

Achieved revenues in excess of €300m in 2 years.
Achieved headcount reductions of 15% and annual cost savings of €6m (12%)
